How does get IT compare to private tutoring?
|
| The curriculum provided by get IT is better than having a tutor come to your home. The host, Lynn Scully, is a highly competent tutor providing instruction to fit every student’s schedule. She explains her proven techniques and performs every problem herself! And just like working with a tutor, the student will do homework with pencil, paper and calculator, and can then check their work against the correct solution to every problem. Lynn Scully has been successfully preparing students for over 18 years. She constantly updates the information, and gives clear instructions. This course was developed in response to the overwhelming number of students seeking individual tutoring sessions with Ms. Scully. In addition to SAT preparation, Ms. Scully assists students to develop math skills - Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, etc; various sciences - Physics, Chemistry, etc; reading, writing and communication skills. General study skills are reinforced throughout the program. |

How much time is required to complete the course work?

A diagnostic test is included to identify problem areas. Many students revisit portions of the course to prepare for a second or third attempt. Each subsequent preparation should require less time. get IT is also ideal for sophomores (or younger students) who might benefit from earlier preparation. A check list ensures that all areas are covered, whether the get IT program is completed in two weeks, two months or two years. |
